Gospel Light Curriculum
Gospel Light's children's curriculum, youth-adult curriculum and VBS curriculum provide solid Bible teaching and learning. Gospel Light curriculum helps students develop a growing relationship with Christ, and learn about God's Word, and how to share God's love with others.
Accordingly, the lessons of each product line focus on the following biblical issues:
- What does the lesson passage show about God?
- How can this be put in terms a child, youth or adult can understand?
- What does the lesson passage show about people?
- How can this be put in terms a child, youth or adult can understand?
- What are the themes and elements, which are central to what the lesson passage shows about God interacting with people and people interacting with Him?
- How does this cause people to interact with one another?
- What are the deeper issues in the lesson passage, which will help the leader and the child, youth or adult know Christ and make Him known?
- What dynamic or principle in the passage will help the leader and child, youth or adult grow into a closer walk with Jesus.
The following themes are emphasized as they are in Scripture:
- The ministry and work of the Holy Spirit through which Christ is with us (dependence on the Spirit to guide the lesson, to lead a child to Christ)
- The importance of prayer, the lifeline of a relationship with Christ (prayers asking God's help in applying the lesson)
- The importance of memorizing and understanding Scripture and having the Lord's Word on our lips and heart (repetition of lesson memory verse throughout the lesson)
- Evangelism and missions, Christ's commission to the church, Acts 1:8 (highlighted opportunities to lead a child to Christ; reaching out to friends and neighbors)
